Norfolkline Donates 1,200 Teddies to Demelza Hospice Care for Children
Norfolkline’s Captain Jesper presented Demelza Hospice Care with 1,200 teddies today. The English Channel ferry operator donated the teddies as gifts for all the children at the hospice, with the remaining being used to help raise funds for the charity in its weekly lottery draw.
Keith Hill, area fundraising manager of Demelza, said:
“We thank Norfolkline for its kind donation. I am sure all the children will be delighted to receive a teddy, and, with a fundraising target of £7m this year, the remaining teddies will help raise some much needed funds.”
Chris Newey, Norfolkline’s general manager, passenger services, said:
“Demelza provides an invaluable service to children with life limiting illnesses and their families. We hope the children enjoy the teddies and that they help to raise vital funds for the continuation of Demelza’s incredible work.”
